This site is a long over due project designed to bridge the gap between the East-African youth abroad and their comrades back home, with the focal point being their general interest in entertainment's. By entertainment meaning :

Supporting composers, actors, singers, artists, producers and Djs

Promotion and events planning.
Recreation:
Clubbing, concerts, boat cruises, get-together's..you name it.
The name Walapit is Kenyan slang for "what's up", well at least that's what it stood for by the end of 2004 summer though things may be different now as this language is constantly changing.
Walapit entertainment is a joint partnership between three close friends who reside in the Boston area of Massachusetts, USA. All three: Sam and Eric are involved in the entertainment business both as promoters and Djs and are currently the force behind Boston's Kenyan Entertainment every Saturday at Club Keys located about 10 minutes from down town Boston.
In addition to this weekly event, they hold numerous entertainment events in the Boston downtown clubs bothsolo and in collaboration with other Boston promoters.
You may also encounter Walapit in the surrounding Cities of Worcester and Brockton, and towns like Lowell and Quincy to name but a few. There are also associates in Kenya, Tanzania , Europe and Australia.
Walapit.com will bring you current entertainment affairs from both worlds, locally and abroad with an aim of bringing you all together. |
